Sokratis Kokkinos

I am an experienced technician in the field of automation systems. I am currently working at the Greek company EpsilonCSA in the automation department and I am involved in the installation, configuration and maintenance of robotic warehouse management systems in the pharmaceutical sector.
I especially like to get new knowledge and work on DIY projects. With the help of 3D printing and design programs and of course with some electronics and programming knowledge, I manage to make my ideas come true. I believe there is nothing more wonderful than that.

Interests

Apart from my work in automation I am involved in computer programming mainly for DIY projects to make my life "easier". Between those projects there is my home server which runs the home-assistant for my smart home and Zoneminder for my CCTV system. These projects are perfect for learning new things and I love them.

To take a break from computers, I like to go into my workshop and desolder electronic components and parts from old circuit boards. This gives me the peace of mind and at the same time i gain some knowledge. And of course my collection of electronic components for the next projects is growing.

I also like to go hiking in the forest, especially in high places in the area, where I can see the view. I like astrophotography and night photography in general because of the tricks someone can do with light. When the weather is nice and there is free time, I go rollerblading with my girlfriend. At night, before I go to sleep, I like to read a book.
